Introduction to Small Business Accounting: QuickBooks/QuickBooks Pro
Learn how to set up your company on QuickBooks or modify QuickBooks to get the information you need to run your business. You will also learn how to invoice customers, buy merchandise, pay bills, reconcile bank accounts, set up payroll, and more. There will be plenty of time for questions about QuickBooks. Introduction to Computers and Windows XP
Designed for beginners, this course leads you through basic computer skills. You’ll learn your way around the computer, its components, keyboard, and mouse operations. Become familiar with the desktop, icons, and menu system. Learn to adjust settings, create files and folders, and pick up shortcuts. Be introduced to a variety of accessories including Paint, NotePad, WordPad, and the calculator. This course, or equivalent knowledge, is needed for all other computer courses.

PowerPoint Workshop
PowerPoint is a great tool for businesses, but it’s also fun for family and friends! Discover how to make a sales presentation to potential clients, or create a slide show of family photos for your next reunion. In this fast-paced workshop, you’ll learn the basic skills necessary to begin effectively creating presentations using PowerPoint. Learn how to create and edit bullet slides, photo album slide shows, incorporate clipart, and include slide-show features like transitions and animation. A working knowledge of windows is required.

Beginning Keyboarding
Learn keyboarding in a simulated college building, A.R.T. (All the Right Type). Navigate through the faculty buildings in this program to master correct posture, hand position and the proper fingers and reaches used to type. Improve your keyboarding skills and speed while learning some basic features of the Microsoft Word program as you practice the drills. Class participants may access the Kalkaska Michigan WORKS!
